With the 2026 class nearly completed, the Wisconsin Badgers have begun to focus on improving relations with much of the 2027 class.

Among the recruits within the 2027 class that the Wisconsin Badgers have been speaking with is a talented, powerful running back. Kylonn Haynie, a native of Nebraska, has excited on the football field as a strong runner and someone who is incredibly difficult to take down.

Haynie currently holds offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Kansas, Nebraska, Toledo, and Wisconsin so far. Early on in his recruitment the leaders have been Nebraska and Wisconsin, who both have had the pleasure of hosting the recruit on campus unofficially. Haynie has already visited Nebraska a whopping eight times between camps, prospect events, and past games.

The Wisconsin Badgers have had Haynie on campus twice and plan on finding a time to bring the running back to Madison for a game during the upcoming season.

Wisconsin Badgers Excite 2027 Running Back Kylonn Haynie Early on in Recruiting Process

For Haynie, the process has only just begun as the recruit holds six scholarship offers and one appearance in major rankings so far as a three-star recruit. The running back is only just starting to blossom on the field and will need to build upon a successful second season on the high school field.

A season ago, Haynie recorded 1,011-yards rushing on 146 carries along with ten rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns. Haynie greatly improved his production after primarily serving as a short yardage back for his school during his freshman season. The running back recorded 472-yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman for his team.

The recruiting process could take major turns in the near future for the running back with the upcoming season nearing. Should Haynie continue to build upon his impressive production, then the running back should see an influx of scholarship offers.

Haynie cited that the history of the position at Wisconsin and the success of running backs from the program in the NFL is intriguing to him. The running back also added that the program is ‘running back university’ due to the amount of running backs that the Badgers see move on to the next level.

While the process is still relatively new to the running back, the standards that Wisconsin has set for the position will remain a major aspect of his recruitment. The Wisconsin Badgers could impress Haynie on the field this season with running backs Cade Yacamelli, Dilin Jones, and Darrion Dupree set to lead the program into battle. Wisconsin is also set to return to a power run scheme this upcoming season which could intrigue Haynie further given his fit into the offense.
