Wisconsin Badgers are among those who were significantly involved in the transfer portal this past seasons as their reputation as a great program took a hit because of underwhelming performances.

Players want to go to programs where their skills will be used at a great length. That has been the most stated goals by players in transfer portal. They want teams whose systems cater to their skills. They want to play somewhere that gives them more football touches.
Badgers embraces major changes this season and this includes recalibrating their offense under new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes. Tight end is one position who will benefit from it.
Head coach Luke Fickell, now on his third year with the team, said they have finally found their identity.
“Whether it was Coach Grimes’ philosophy or his scheme or really just his personality,” he said.

“I think we’re in a good place. Obviously, we’ve got a ways to continue to grow, but I really do feel like we’ve got the identity that fits us, that gives us a chance to lean on our guys up front, but still be multiple enough to say, ‘Hey, we’ve got to be able to create big plays and create space and get down the field in some different ways’.”
Wisconsin Badgers will take care of tight ends
TE coach Nate Letton love this change because it affects his job off the field.
“The best thing that we have is, we’re telling a story to these recruits about what they’re going to experience when they get here,” Letton told On3.com.
“As a recruit, that is a huge consideration. Tailbacks in every offense are going to get the football.

“Receivers in any offense are going to get the football. Tight ends aren’t all created the same in certain offenses. Being able to take clips from practice and get on Zooms or just send them little videos from a laptop screen, I think, is paying huge dividends and getting us in on some high-end guys.”
