The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team has undergone a massive roster overhaul since the 2024 season finished. Departures include Sarah Franklin, Devyn Robinson, Anna Smrek, CC Crawford, Julie Orzol, Carly Anderson, Gulce Guctekin, and Saige Damrow. New additions through the transfer portal include Mimi Colyer, Grace Egan, and Grace Lopez.
That being said, one analyst recently said that they won the transfer portal. After this declaration they further deepened their roster by adding a 2021 Middleton High School graduate via the transfer portal.

With one year of eligibility remaining, 5’3″ defensive specialist Jada Cerniglia is joining the Badgers for the 2025 season. She graduated from Middleton High School in 2021 and then spent her 2021-2024 NCAA seasons at Northern Illinois.

In 2021, Cerniglia did not appear in a match. A year later she appeared in 14 games and 19 sets, and in 2023 she played in 26 games, 88 sets, and made 14 starts. Last year, she saw action in 34 games and posted 1.35 digs per set.
Cerniglia is expected to compete with players like Aniya Warren and Kristen Simon for time defensively. Warren and Simon are both incoming freshmen. Last year’s libero, Lola Schumacher, will be returning next season and is expected to remain in that role.
