The Wisconsin Badgers may have lost the game on the field, but the staff made sure the visiting recruits still had a great experience during the game.
Isaac Miller, a 2027 edge rusher who attends Catholic Memorial High School, was one such recruit in attendance for the game. Miller is a rising star in the 2027 class within the state of Wisconsin, and will begin to draw major interest from outside of the state. The Badgers staff has worked hard to establish a relationship with the recruit ahead of his future recruiting journeys to other states.
Miller, who stands in at 6-feet-5-inches, and nearly 250-pounds with an incredible amount of strength and speed within his frame. The defender is a dominant force on the field with a unique skillset that allows for success against an array of different sized linemen. Miller is also a versatile player with experiencing playing on and off the line on defense, as well as excellent hands as a tight end.
The talented defender currently has interest from Minnesota, Iowa State, and Utah along with the Wisconsin Badgers. Minnesota has been a school that has recently plucked plenty of talent away from both the state of Wisconsin and the recruiting board of the Badgers. Utah, on the other hand, has a unique connection to the recruit as the father of Miller attended the program and has a relationship with the coach of the Utes.
Iowa State has done similar things, but mainly on the basketball court with multiple notable recruits joining the program in the past. Miller is also an accomplished basketball player and has developed a reputation as a feared shot blocker, but the recruit has a much more diverse skill set on the football field that has set himself apart.
How did Isaac Miller Feel About the Recent Wisconsin Badgers Recruiting Visit?
While the result of the game was not what the Wisconsin Badgers wanted, many recruits still enjoyed the opportunity to experience Madison and Camp Randall up close.
For Miller, the recruit stated that he felt the visit “went very smoothly” and the opportunity to experience the environment was one he “enjoyed”. Miller was also honest and admitted the result on the field was not the prettiest one to watch, but the defender felt it was still “really fun” to watch the team up close and personal.
Losses are never fun to watch when the purpose of being there was to hopefully watch a team thrive, however, many recruits like Miller do not allow that to cloud the overall visit. The talented recruit could very well find himself back in Madison in the future for another visit despite some hiccups, and the same goes for other programs the recruit has visited (Minnesota, Utah).
The recent visit for Miller was his second of the season as the recruit was also in the stadium for the win over the Purdue Boilermakers.
