Ohio State Buckeyes threatened to snap Wisconsin Badgers’ five-game winning streak but the night probably really belonged to the squad of Greg Gard who got his 200th victory with the win.
Gard debut as Badgers’ coach in December of 2015, making him just the fourth coach in team history to reach the milestone.
Team veterans connived to make sure that their coach’s night will not be spoiled.
John Tonje led the way with his 17 points and four rebounds while John Blackwell had 15 and 6.
Max Klesmit returned to the team after missing two games due to injury and scored 14.
Steven Crowl’s point production dipped a bit, only 14 points, but they were enough for him to reach a milestone for himself.
Steven Crowl has 1,303 points, 753 rebounds, and 255 assists in his career.
He’s the fourth #Badgers player and just 15th in Big Ten history with 1,200 points, 750 rebounds, and 250 assists since 1986-87.

Greg Gard reacts to reaching 200th win
Gard has been quite hard on his players, especially in December when they recorded three straight losses.
They are back on track, have steadied the ship. Wednesday night may have put his name on an elite list but Gard insists that is because of the hard work of his players and staff.
You guys know this is not about me. My name goes with it, but I’ve had terrific players, the current ones and ones that have been here for the last nine years, terrific coaches with me.
I have a phenomenal staff right now, a support system. You divide this up. It’s a lot of hard work by a lot of people, a lot of hours go unseen and unnoticed to have an opportunity to help a program be successful.
With the win, the Badgers leaped over Indiana in the standings with 14-3 or sixth place.
