Wisconsin Badgers football’s 2026 roster are putting in the hard work on the field wearing the helmets. Those who are waiting for their turn to become eligible to play are hard at praying and believing that this time is going to shock people.

Tayshon Bardo, who will only get to debut for the Badgers in 2026, suggests his future team are being underrated right now but he is not only refuting that. He is warning people to expect the unexpected.
“I think this year’s team is going to surprise a lot of people,” the 3-star recruit said in an article published by On3.com.
“All the guys are hungry and have a chip on their shoulder and Coach Fick is and will be the “guy” this year.”

In case you haven’t heard, the Badgers are not expected to do any better from their last season. Critics think it is because of their tough schedule.
Fickell is on his third year with the team. He was able to elevate the Cincinnati Bearcats on his third season with them, sending them to an 11–2 record in 2018 and and a 35–31 win in the Military Bowl in the same year.
Wisconsin Badgers’ tough schedule is no issue
Carson Eloms is another player who won’t see minutes this season but already feels great about Wisconsin’s 2026 performance.
The Class of 2026 cornerback is feeling the same way as Bardo. He thinks Fickell is going to prove people wrong.
“I’m excited and can’t wait to see all the hard work they’ve been putting in,” Eloms said.

“Plus facing all these ranked opponents and for them to shock the world. I think Coach Fick is ready to dominate and show the world who the new Badgers are.”
The Badgers will have their opening weekend on August 28 against the Miami Redhawks. Betting odds say they are the favorites to win the game.
