Wisconsin Badgers Fans Displeased With Head Coach Greg Gard Once Again in Latest Loss Against the Penn State Nittany Lions

Once again, anytime the Badgers lose, a lot of the blame from the fanbase goes on the head coach. This is what some of the fans had to say on Twitter about the loss to the Nittany Lions on Saturday:
A Greg Gard team doing what a Greg Gard team does folding down the stretch. I want to like Greg so much but this repeat offense is a pattern. His teams fold.

March Greg Gard has never been more here

Greg Gard is the most overrated coach in the big ten. How many years in a row has he had a team peak too early? Always playing worse in March than they do in January.

The team is an absolute fraud. They definitely exceeded preseason expectations, but they are nowhere near as good as their NET ranking indicates

At least you have the guts to post the final score. Some schools (Purdue) refuse to do this when they lose. Badgers will be fine in post season. This is the first bad loss they’ve had in a long time.
— Illini Forever (@IlliniForeEver) March 8, 2025
Four different players scored in double figures for Wisconsin against Penn State. Steven Crowl and John Blackwell each scored 19 points. Kamari McGee scored 11 points and John Tonje also added 13 points for the Badgers.
It is going to be interesting to see what Wisconsin and Greg Gard will do in the BIG10 Tournament before the NCAA Tournament begins. Penn State will not even qualify for the BIG10 Tournament this season.
#5 Seed In BIG10 Tournament

With the loss on Saturday, Wisconsin did not earn a double bye in the BIG10 Tournament, but they will have a bye. The Badgers will play on Thursday in the BIG10 Tournament at 1:30 p.m. CT. They will either face the 13 seed Northwestern Wildcats or the 12 seed Minnesota Golden Gophers on Thursday.
A season ago, Wisconsin made it to the BIG10 Championship game. They played the Illinois Fighting Illini and lost to them in overtime. The Wisconsin Badgers are the number five seed for the second straight season in this tournament also.
