The Wisconsin Badgers did not make a bowl game this season after finishing with a 5-7 record this season. There are a lot of questions that this football program will have to answer this offseason.
One of those questions that head coach Luke Fickell will have to answer this offseason is who will be the starting quarterback for them next season? It was one of the weaknesses of the Wisconsin Badgers football program this season.
Wisconsin Badgers Brutal Schedule For the 2025 College Football Season
With the college football playoffs being announced on Sunday, there are three teams on the Wisconsin Badgers schedule next season who made the playoffs from the BIG10 Conference. They are the Indiana Hoosiers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Oregon Ducks.
Wisconsin will not face the Penn State Nittany Lions next season. The Badgers will also have to face the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and the Michigan Wolverines next season. Wisconsin is going to have to show massive improvement in the BIG10 Conference or it could be a problem for head coach Luke Fickell.
Other Opponents
The other opponents that the Wisconsin Badgers will face in the conference next season are the Washington Huskies, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the Maryland Terrapins, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. It will be interesting to see who else Wisconsin will face outside of the BIG10 Conference.
The Badgers may not be favored in many games next season and it could very well be a problem for them. Earlier in the 2024 season, it looked like Wisconsin was going to go to a bowl game again this season until they collapsed late in the year. They fired offensive coordinator Phil Longo, but there were other problems with the team. They also just hired Kansas Jayhawks Jeff Grimes to be the new offensive coordinator for Wisconsin.
