One can say that the ghost of the past years has left Wisconsin Badgers as they are looking good as the regular season reaches it tail-end.
They are turning heads week by week and they are rewarded by the Associated Press Top 25 Poll Ranking by putting them one spot behind the Top 10.
The Badgers are among the biggest gainers in the 16th Week of the AP Men’s College Basketball Poll as the climbed to the 11th spot, five spots higher than last week..
The team gained 879 points and leaped over several Big Ten teams.
Big Ten has five teams in Top 25 and Wisconsins Badgers are the one on top, even higher than the programs who are at the top of the standings of their conference.
Michigan Wolverines are the biggest gainers in the latest ranking as they leaped by eight spots to no. 12. They are currently no. 1 in the Big Ten conference.
No. 2 Michigan State Spartans are sitting at no. 14, down by three spots. No. 3 Purdue Boilermakers are the biggest loser in the conference as they fall to no. 13, six spots from before.
Wisconsin Badgers’ upcoming games
Badgers looked solid in their four-game winning streak despite setbacks.
Their latest win against the Boilermakers showed how mature they have become since the start of the season and fans are expecting favorable results in their next games which will be against relatively weaker opponents.
The more interesting part about this week is that their next two games will be at home where they have lost just once in the 13 games they played at the Kohl Center.
First team to visit this week are the Illinois Fighting Illini who gave them their third straight loss last December. It is revenge time for coach Greg Gard’s squad.
They will next face the Oregon Ducks who are on a two-game winning streak but are way below them in the conference standings.
