The Wisconsin Badgers make three coaching moves. Blake Rolan from Southern Illinois University – assistant wide receiver coach.
Joe Ludwig, son of Andy Ludwig and former quality control coach at Baylor, as an assistant tight end coach.
Tuf Borland, formerly a grad assistant at Wisconsin, as an assistant linebacker coach.
Rolan’s coaching journey before Wisconsin
Rolan was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Southern Illinois in 2018. He was a solid recruiter at Cincinnati, particularly in Indianapolis.
He was a former quality control coach at the Tennessee Volunteers. Rolan was the wide receiver coach at Cincinnati on Dec. 14, 2012.
Ludwig playing football days before Iowa
Ludwig played three years of college football at Iowa before transferring to Utah. He committed to Iowa as a walk on in 2017.
He played high school football at Middleton. Ludwig played in eight games at Iowa and 14 games at fullback and tight end over two seasons at Utah.
Borland playing football days at Ohio State
Borland was a three-time captain for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He played in the 2021 Reese Senior Bowl.
He is the son of former Badger linebacker Kyle Borland. Borland, Pete Werner, and Baron Browning of the Ohio State Buckeyes were named to the Butkus Award Preseason List.
