Wisconsin Badgers’ hunt for a formidable quarterback for the Class of 2026 remains alive as the program made it to the Top 5 preferred schools of four-star quarterback Brodie McWhorter.
The 6’2 signal caller has 37 offers from various colleges in different parts of the country. He trimmed the list down to seven in February with the Badgers making the cut.
The other candidates were Auburn Tigers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Colorado Buffaloes, Indiana Hoosiers, Syracuse Orange, West Virginia Mountaineers.
Fast forward to March, the young quarterback trimmed the list further with the announcement of the lucky school to be announced on May 15.
He wrote on X while quoting a post from Steezo:
All Glory to the Man above! Where’s 🏡?
All and anyone are welcome to attend! Thank you to every school that has took a chance on me and taken time to recruit me and my family throughout the process.

The five schools that he will select from are Wisconsin Badgers, Indiana Hoosiers, Colorado Buffaloes, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and Auburn Tigers.

Wisconsin Badgers QB situation and interest on Brodie McWhorter
What will be the quarterback situation that McWhorter will arrive to in 2026?
The team’s main QB right now is Billy Edwards Jr. who has been working closely with head coach Luke Fickell and Jeff Grimes. He has been receiving praises from the coaches since the practice.

The QB depth is not that attractive though. Next to Edwards Jr. are Danny O’Neil who is now in his second year and second team in college and former four-star prospect Carter Smith who committed to the team last year for the 2025 season.
Badgers still don’t have a quarterback for the Class of 2026. They surely have a room for a player like McWhorter.
