You can’t really have everything. Take Tom Brady for example in the Green Bay Packers – Minnesota Vikings match over the weekend.
The NFL legend, who’s now working as a color commentator for Fox Sports, was given the Packers-Vikings game and with how meticulous NFL fans are, his stutter over some details concerning the tale of the tape did not go unnoticed.
He made the mistake while taking to broadcasting partner Kevin Burkhardt as they discussed the Packers’ earlier games.
Brady tried to recall which teams coach Matt LaFleur’s team lost to. He was correct when he said they lost twice to the Detroit Lions. He also correctly mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles.
The fourth one, he had a hard time remembering. The funny thing about this is that that team is right in front of him – the Vikings in Week 4.
“And they lost to the, uh, what’d they lose to the other one? Anyway, they’ve got a big opportunity today to go on the road and really a litmus test for what they’re going to face in two weeks. Can’t wait to watch,” he finished in a panicking voice.
Fans were quick to react on Brady’s stutter.
“He’s human after all,” said one user.
Another person is just more harsh
“Please make Greg Olsen the #1 guy again.”
Brady is lesser concern for Green Bay Packers fans
“We got to earn the right to play these guys again,” said LaFleur after the 25-27 loss to the Vikings.
The Packers needed the win more than Minnesota as they are still looking to get a better position in the playoffs.
If the postseason starts today, they will face the Los Angeles Rams. There is also the possibility that they will meet the Philadelphia Eagles on the bracket.
LaFleur said they have to be more efficient when it comes to passing rush and earn the right to play good teams like the Vikings.
“You’ve got to get pressure on these guys if they’re going to drop back this many times. If you don’t, it’s going to be a long day,” he said.
The Packers will wrap up the elimination round on January 5 against the Chicago Bears.
