The Las Vegas Raiders have already acquired Davante Adams. Now they are signing a former Packers’ linebacker to help bolster their defense. Kyler Fackrell, who played for the Packers from 2016-2019, is reuniting with Adams in Las Vegas.

Kyler Fackrell with the Packers
The Green Bay Packers selected Kyler Fackrell in the third round (88th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. Mostly a backup, Fackrell saw most of his time on special teams. In fact, there was one weird occurance in 2017 when Fackrell returned a punt for 11 yards (perhaps they should have kept him there).
Easily, the best season Kyler Fackrell spent with the Packers was 2018. That season, he had 10.5 sacks while playing 59% of the defense’s snaps. However, every Packers fan knows what 2019 brought. Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith signed with the Packers, and Rashan Gary was drafted. All of a sudden, Fackrell saw his snaps diminish, and he had a career-low 1.0 sacks. The Packers did not pick up his fifth year option, and he became a free agent after the season.
Post-Packers Career
In 2020, Kyler Fackrell played for the New York Giants. With New York, he received more playing time, but never came close to replicating his 2018 season. He did, however, notch his first career interception. He returned that pick 46 yards for his first career touchdown, also.
In 2021, Fackrell spent the season with the Los Angeles Chargers. In limited playing time, Fackrell saw his production dip even more. The Chargers had no interest in bringing him back in 2022.
Las Vegas will be Fackrell’s fourth team in four years.
