The Philadelphia Eagles are just days away from facing off against the Green Bay Packers at Lincoln Financial Field in the City of Brotherly Love for an NFC Wild Card Round showdown. Among the biggest talking points heading into that contest is the health and readiness of Eagle quarterback Jalen Hurts, who missed Philly’s Week 18 meeting with the New York Giants at home due to a concussion.
He also didn’t practice ahead of the Giants game, leading some to be a bit more concerned about his status for the NFL playoffs.
The latest on Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts amid looming Green Bay Packers NFL playoff game
But on Wednesday, Eagles veteran offensive tackle Lane Johnson gave an encouraging observation about the dual-threat quarterback that could get the Packers’ attention as well.
Via Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia:
Lane Johnson on Jalen Hurts’ first practice back today: “He looked really sharp. It was his first time back full speed and we had a crisp practice. He’s been dialed in.”
Like Hurts, backup quarterback Kenny Pickett was also listed as a limited participant in Wednesday’s Eagles practice. In the event that neither QB can’t give it a go against the Packers, Philadelphia would likely be forced to start third-stringer Tanner McKee, who passed for 269 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 27-of-41 pass completions in Philly’s 20-13 win over the Giants.
