A year removed from making Jordan Love one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL, the Packers have no designs whatsoever on trading a player they believe to be the biggest key to the offense’s success moving forward.
However, ESPN analyst Bill Barnwell put together a list of every team’s most valuable players, and what they would hypothetically fetch on the trade market, if they were being shopped by their current team.
Packers QB Jordan Love’s Trade Value Revealed
According to Barnwell, a deal involving Love would command at least two first-round draft picks. However, there’s a bit of a caveat.
“Love plays in a quarterback-friendly offense,” Barnwell wrties for ESPN, listing Love as the Packers’ most valuable player. “Both in terms of the run-pass option game and how heavily the Packers rely on the run game; even removing the two games Malik Willis started from the equation, coach Matt LaFleur ran the league’s most run-heavy offense on early downs in neutral game scripts.
“There’s nothing wrong with running the ball and creating extremely efficient early-down passing opportunities off play-action, but if this is all Love ends up being, teams might not be thrilled with that guy at his price range. He might also be able to piece together the player we’ve seen in the second half over the past two seasons for a full 17 games and challenge for MVP honors.”

Whether Love can put all the pieces together, after the Packers added some pretty big pieces on offense this offseason, and turn in an MVP-caliber season while leading Green Bay on a lengthy playoff run remains to be seen.
But, at age 26, his body of work and trajectory make it easy to see what makes Love one of the most coveted and valuable quarterbacks in the NFL.
