The Green Bay Packers held their collective breath Sunday afternoon against the Chicago Bears, when quarterback Jordan Love went down with an apparent elbow injury.
Fortunately for the Packers, Love seems to be on track to play in Sunday’s NFC Wild Card Game in Philadelphia against the Eagles.
“Pretty much by the next day, I was pretty much feeling back to normal,” Love told reporters Wednesday. “The next morning.”
Love admitted after Sunday’s game that he was feeling some numbness after suffering the injury, but it sounds as though he is all systems go for practice the rest of this week, and for the game.
Head coach Matt LaFleur revealed that Love threw in a “limited” capacity during Wednesday’s first practice of the week in advance of the postseason kicking off.
The first time these teams met, back in Week 1 in Brazil, Love passed for 260 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in a 34-29 loss.
Love and the Packers, though, will be without dynamic wide receiver Christian Watson, who was lost for the season and perhaps the 2025 campaign when he suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s heartbreaking loss to the Bears.
