The Green Bay Packers‘ defense got some encouraging news, after the team’s first practice of the week ahead of Sunday’s clash against the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings.
After missing last week’s game due to an ankle injury suffered early in Green Bay’s Week 15 win over the Seattle Seahawks, playmaking linebacker Javon Bullard returned to practice on Thursday. Since Wednesday was Christmas, this is the first actual injury report that the Packers have released this week, with prior updates being mere estimations of how players would have participated had there been practice that day.
Javon Bullard (ankle) is officially back at practice after being estimated as limited Wednesday.

Bullard has appeared in 13 games so far this season, logging 74 total tackles with one tackle for loss.
Getting Bullard back healthy and on the field, means the Packers have the possibility of seeing major contributions from both of Green Bay’s dominant rookie linebackers following Edgerrin Cooper’s emergence in recent weeks.
The Packers chose Bullard with the No. 58 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and will likely count on him to play meaningful snaps over the final two weeks of the regular season and looming playoff run.
