The Green Bay Packers kicked off the 2024 season against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil, and may need to keep their passports handy for next season, as well.
As the NFL begins trickling out the announcements of which teams will be playing oversees in 2025, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been earmarked for an International Game in London, according to a report from The Irish Examiner.
The Steelers, of course, are on the Packers’ schedule as a road opponent next season, putting the possibility in play that Green Bay could be heading across the pond.
Next season, the NFL may take the opportunity to make up for lost time, by sending one of the NFL’s crown jewel franchise and most popular teams internationally for the third time in four seasons.
After all, the Packers hadn’t made their international game debut until a 2022 loss to the New York Giants in London prior to September’s season-opener in Brazil.
The NFL won’t release the full 2025 schedule until April, however, the league has announced its International Games slate well in advance of the regular season schedule in year’s past. So, stay tuned, and get those passports updated, Packers fans, just in case.
