27-Year-Old Worker Dies Of Injuries From Tragic Accident At Lambeau Field
As reported by Mike Florio of NBC, a man named Joshua Shaw recently passed away in the hospital on Saturday after failing to recover from the injuries that he sustained. He died three days after the incident in Lambeau Stadium on Thursday.
Shaw was reportedly part of a construction team that was working on the upgrades of the videoboards in Lambeau Field. Shaw, a Clintonville, Wisconsin resident, was employed as a carpenter with Mavid Construction, where he works with his brother and father.
The Packers have already released their statement regarding the incident as they sent their condolences to Shaw’s family and friends:
“The Green Bay Packers organization extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of the Mavid Construction employee who succumbed Saturday to the injuries he suffered on Thursday. Our thoughts are with those impacted during this difficult time,” read the statement, via the WBAY News Staff.
For their part, Mavid Construction thanked the first responders as well as the staff of St. Vincent Hospital for doing all they can to try and save Shaw:
“We would like to thank the emergency rescue team, those who responded from the Green Bay Fire and Police Department, the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent Hospital and our team members for their care during this difficult time,” the company statement said.
Joshua Shaw Leaves A Legacy Behind Even After His Tragic Passing
According to a report by WBAY.com, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is undergoing a full-blown investigation into Shaw’s death. However, officials are also claiming that it could take up to six months before this is completed.
In the meantime, Shaw’s family and friends will mourn his tragic death. His mother, Bobbie Joe Jarvenpaa, recently spoke to the press to express their deep sadness after her son’s untimely passing. Speaking on behalf of the family, Jarvenpaa thanked the doctors and the nurses of St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She also revealed that her son was an organ donor, and they have now seen to it that Shaw got his final wish:
“He’s going to be saving six lives with his organs and they said he also will be, I don’t know what the word he used, enhancing, helping others health with many other tissues so there will be even more than the six with the organs,” said Jarvenpaa.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Joshua Shaw in these trying times. May his soul rest in peace.
