Damian Lillard was all smiles during the Milwaukee Bucks’ media availability on Monday. After all, you would be too if you just got your wish of finally playing for a championship team alongside former back-to-back NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, among others.
This is exactly why Dame slapped the rest of the NBA with the harsh reality they’re about to face with this new-look Bucks side.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Has Warning for League
According to Lillard, opposing teams are going to have a hard time trying to defend his pick-and-roll with Antetokounmpo:
“I can’t imagine [Giannis] to have the ball at the free-throw line coming downhill with an advantage,” Lillard said. “Khris (Middleton) on the wing, and Brook (Lopez), you got really good players out there.
“I definitely thought about it and i just don’t know how you handle that.”

I see no lies here. Defending Giannis is already a gargantuan task on itself, but now that he’s teamed up with Lillard, this team is going to be extremely difficult to stop on the offensive end.
It’s not just Dame and Giannis that the opposition will have to deal with, though. As Lillard said, the Bucks still also have three-time All-Star Khris Middleton on their roster, as well as two-time All-Defense big man Brook Lopez — both of whom signed big-money extensions with Milwaukee this past summer.
It’s going to be a wild season ahead for the Bucks, and I’m pretty sure the Milwaukee faithful will enjoy the rid.e
