NBA news: There has been a big debate as to who the better player is between Paul Pierce and Dwayne Wade. For ther most part, it has been Pierce who has been fueling the discussion.
The Boston Celtics icon recently came out with more “proof” that he has left a better legacy as compared to Wade, which as expected, created a whole lot of buzz yet again.
NBA News: Paul Pierce Reignites Dwyane Wade Debate
A few weeks ago, Pierce went on the record to discuss how his credenitals supposedly outweigh that of Wade. According to Pierce, he surely would have won more championships if only he had the chance to play alongside the same superstars D-Wade played with when he won his chips:
“Put Shaq on my team, put LeBron and Bosh with me. I’m not going to win one? You don’t think? Me, LeBron and Bosh, we’re not gonna win one? Or we’re not gonna win a couple?” Pierce said (h/t Tyler Conway of Bleacher Report. “Who’s the better three-point shooter? Is he a better scorer? OK, he averaged more points than me career. I can shoot the three, midrange, I can post up, I can get to the line. Who’s a better scorer?”
Ex-Heat talisman Udonis Haslem, who himself played with Wade for many years, was not happy about Pierce’s latest round of slander. So much so, that the former Miami big man came out with his own bold statement saying “muthaf***as getting diarrhea out the mouth,” in reference to Pierce’s comments.
Pierce received a lot of backlash for his smack talk, which prompted a lenghty explanation from his end. The Celtics legend took to Twitter to share his side of the story:
“I never compared myself to Dwayne wade I was ask a question how would u answer if u was me I would never disrespect him he is an all time great all I’m saying is the narrative surrounding me would be different if I was lucky enough to play with all timers earlier in my career same can be said about Tracy mcgrady Vince Carter melo Allen iverson the narrative would definitely be different is his resume better ofcourse but this not about me comparing myself to him it’s just Goat players out there where the narrative would be different if given same type of teammates grant hill Chris Webber is all I’m saying d wade much respect that’s not what I’m on,” Pierce wrote in his tweet.
Pierce backtracked a bit by saying that he meant no disrespect toward Wade. Well, a lot of the fans did not see it that way.
NBA News: Dwyane Wade Savagely Claps Back at Paul Pierce
Dwyane Wade has now broken his silence on Pierce’s jab. The three-time NBA champ went full savage as he directed his unforgiving clap back at The Truth:
“I mean listen, rent is expensive in America, and I’m living rent free. I like living rent free,” Wade said during an appearance on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz (h/t Erin Walsh of Bleacher Report. “… It’s documented. I don’t need to say anything. Everything is documented.”
“Rent is expensive and I’m living rent free…it’s documented, I don’t need to say anything…I went and got my Avengers…”

Wade refused to engage with Pierce by providing a counterargument. D-Wade would rather let his resume do the talking. Your move now, Paul.
