MLB Trade Rumors: The Baltimore Orioles currently have the best record in the American League, but they could improve upon their starting rotation. Kyle Bradish and Tyler Wells each have ERA’s above 4.00 so adding in another quality starter would go a long way not only the remainder of the season but in a playoff series as well.
One player that they reportedly have interest in, per Jon Morosi, is Detroit Tigers 2023 All-Star Michael Lorenzen. He is a rental player who has a 3.49 ERA over 17 starts. The strikeout numbers are not there for him this year, but he isn’t walking guys and he is limiting the damage done against him.
Aside from the Baltimore Orioles, who else is interested in the Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen? (MLB Trade Rumors)
Other teams linked to Michael Lorenzen include the Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays. Interestingly all of the teams linked to him are in the American League, but separate divisions. However the need remains clear in that all three ball clubs could utilize another starting pitcher.
The likelihood of Michael Lorenzen being moved this year is very high. It will be interesting to see who emerges and trades for him. Detroit has a middle of the pack farm system so acquiring another talented prospect would be the expected asking price in a trade.

Neither Wells or Bradish have eras above 4… I think you mean BELOW 4.
