Watch out because Christian Yelich might make the best comeback of his career this 2025 season for the Milwaukee Brewers.
The 2018 MVP’s stellar 2024 season was cut short no thanks to a season-ending back injury but after undergoing surgery, things might look good for him again.
He might return to top form just like what he was doing before he was shut down in September last year, to the point that he will win an award for his play.
MLB.com released its annual awards prediction and for 2025, Yelich was boldly named as the possible winner of Comeback Player of the Year.
The writer’s basis is the success of Yelich’s surgery in August. He will be playing coming off a major surgery but that should not deter fans from rooting for him.
“The upside is that after years of navigating occasional flare-ups, he finally got a fix that could unlock some more good years as Yelich goes into his age-33 season. With a back injury, there are no guarantees, but Yelich is worth betting on,” the website said.
Christian Yelich’s positive updates for Milwaukee Brewers fans
The Brewers fanbase as well as other critics are just as optimistic with regards to Yelich’s return.
The 33-year-old left fielder, who made the All-Star Game last season after being out of it for five years, made his first Instagram post in nearly a month and fans swarmed it with positive messages.
They also made their encouragement comments, including predictions that he is going to have a big year again just like in 2024.
“Yelich 2025 MVP. Brewers – 2025 World Series winners. This is your year !,” commented one user.
“Good luck on the other side of 2024! Your year is coming 2025 Go Brewers!” said another.
