The Milwaukee Bucks will attempt to build a new winning streak when they take on a vengeful San Antonio Spurs team at Fiserv Forum later.
Milwaukee are doing okay since they have an 18-16 record, good for fifth in the Eastern Conference. San Antonio are doing worse at 18-18 after dropping their last two games, and sophomore star Victor Wembanayama is unhappy.
“It’s very frustrating. For sure, right now we should have more wins, but we don’t deserve more wins because this is our level, our maturity. This one is a tough one, for sure, but apparently, we need those two to grow,” Wembanyama said following the team’s loss against the Chicago Bulls last Monday via Field Level Media.
“You have to fight the human nature of being complacent or happy with yourselves when things are going well in the middle of a game. We felt the game flip. That lack of respect at times for some of the details played a part,” San Antonio Spurs interim coach Mitch Johnson added.
San Antonio Spurs’ injury report ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks game
The San Antonio Spurs will have a relatively healthy squad against the Milwaukee Bucks later, as Jeremy Sochan is their only notable absentee. According to Michael C. Wright of ESPN, the 21-year-old forward is ruled out due to back tightness.
Victor Wembanyama is coming off a spectacular all-around effort against the Chicago Bulls, as he had 23 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and eight blocks in 35 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), Andre Jackson Jr. (back), and Khris Middleton (ankle) on the injury list with the probable tags.
