NBA media just can’t be stopped no matter how Giannis Antetokounmpo speaks about his desire to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks and so, his brother and former teammate Thanasis has to step in.
The Greek Freak proclaimed himself as a life-long Buck as long as the team agrees on Wednesday but Shams Charania did not need 24 hours to say the opposite of that.
The NBA insider suggested that the Greek Freak is ready to leave the team that drafted him and won a championship with because winning matters more to him.
“Everyone knows Giannis Antetokounmpo loves the Bucks,” Charania shared during an appearance on the show Get Up.
“But I’m here to tell you he loves winning more. That’s why everyone in that Bucks organization, they know what’s at stake this season. They know the pressure.”
Charania was immediately slammed up by Bucks fans for shameless reporting that they thought were baseless and not considering Antetokounmpo’s statement.
The media has been saying the same thing about the two-time MVP since 2020.
Five years ago, ESPN Malika Andrews asked Giannis about his future with Milwaukee immediately after they exited the playoffs. Antetokounmpo did not respond but instead walked out of the press conference.
Months after, Giannis signed a max contract with his previous one still with one year left.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo may not be with the Milwaukee Bucks anymore but one thing that is cast in stone is he will be there to speak for his brother.
He does not even need to say a word.

Thanasis turned to X to refute Charania’s statement using earlier reports made by a Greek reporter.
The tweet reads:
If i get a text from my GM, i will share the news with my family & i’ll go do my job. I’m getting paid good money to do this job. I would go anywhere i feel they need me. I’m not a guy who’s going to ask for a trade, they should kick me out.
