The Milwaukee Bucks improved to 34-25 on the season with their 132-117 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night. For the first time this season, the Bucks are nine games over .500 and seem to be hitting their stride at the right time as the NBA Playoffs draw closer and closer.
Unfortunately, the victory on Saturday came with a cost. Newly acquired forward Kyle Kuzma suffered an ankle injury during the contest, and initially it did not look good for him and the team.
Milwaukee Bucks Forward Kyle Kuzma Will Probably Not Play Against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday

Milwaukee plays again on Tuesday night on the road against the Atlanta Hawks. Unfortunately, it sounds like they will not have Kuzma for this game. On the bright side, however, he also avoided a major injury and should not miss much time:
Bucks coach Doc Rivers told reporters that the MRI on Kyle Kuzma’s right ankle came back clean, but Kuzma did not do a lot in practice today, so he suspects Kuzma will be listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s game in Atlanta.

As noted in the X post from Eric Nehm above, Kuzma had an MRI on his ankle, which revealed no major structural damage. In other words, it is a mild sprain.
That being said, Milwaukee has to travel home after the Hawks game and will play the Mavericks again, this time at Fiserv Forum, on Wednesday night.
Due to the tilt against Atlanta being the first of two games in two nights, Rivers is probably going to play it safe and make sure Kuzma can avoid further injury by giving him an extra day off.
Milwaukee Bucks Forward Kyle Kuzma Breaks Silence on Ankle Injury

According to Nehm, Kuzma had the following to say about his ankle injury: “Obviously, it doesn’t look too good (with bruising/swelling), but I just stepped on Giannis’ foot, I should be fine. Yesterday was a little rough, but today, I moved around, shot…I didn’t do anything full speed or try to cut, but all my testing with it was positive.”
Since being traded to the Bucks, Kuzma is averaging 14.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.7 rebounds per game. With him out, Milwaukee will likely give AJ Green or Gary Trent Jr. the start while moving Taurean Prince back to a three. Another option, though, is to give Andre Jackson Jr. the start since he was in the starting lineup often earlier in the season.
That being said, Jackson has more recently been relegated to the back end of the bench due to poor offensive production.
