Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton will be sidelined once again for the home matchup on Monday night against the Los Angeles Clippers. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and it will be televised on NBATV. He is out because of an ankle injury and Middleton has not played since February 6 against the Phoenix Suns with an ankle injury.
He has played in 43 games this year for Milwaukee and is averaging 14.8 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 5.0 APG, 0.3 BPG, and 0.9 SPG. Khris Middleton is shooting 48.7% from the field this season for the Bucks.
Entering this matchup, the Clippers are 39-20, and the fourth seed in the Western Conference. The Bucks are 40-21 and they are back into the two seed in the Eastern Conference with the Cleveland Cavaliers currently slumping.
After this matchup, the Milwaukee Bucks will head on a four-game California road trip and it will be interesting to see whether or not Middleton can return by then. It has been concerning since he hasn’t returned yet.
Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Doc Rivers Was Asked About the Health Of Khris Middleton and Others Moving Forward
On Sunday, head coach Doc Rivers spoke to The Athletic’s Eric Nehm about the health of Middleton and other players moving forward. He told him by saying:
“I don’t get involved. It’s funny, even Khris said it, I don’t even ask. I do not get involved in the training room. I just think it’s a bad place for a coach to ever be. So, I am never- I don’t think I’ve ever gone, “You’re going to play tomorrow, right?” I don’t say a word. They come and tell me. I’m praying that they know WAY more than me about the health part of it and I’m sure they do.”
That is a very interesting statement made by Bucks head coach Doc Rivers. He hopes to get Middleton back at some point, but he is going to stay out of the way on that side. That is out of his control and whenever Middleton returns for this team, that is when it will be. Hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later.
