Milwaukee Bucks small forward Khris Middleton has been the subject of debate and trade rumors for a while now. His unfortunate injury history over the last three seasons (including this one) has led many fans to call on the team to trade him.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Bucks head coach Doc Rivers was removing Middleton from the starting lineup. This came after the three-time All-Star did not play in the Bucks win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night due to tendinitis in his surgically repaired ankles.
While many fans thought that the move was made due to Middleton’s struggles on the floor, Rivers made it clear that is was strictly a medical decision as the team tries to work him back from his offseason surgery.
Milwaukee Bucks Legend Brandon Jennings Declares Khris Middleton the Greatest Small Forward in Franchise History
Former Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings is one of the most iconic former players in recent franchise history, whether fans realize it or not. One of the most commonly used hashtags by Milwaukee’s fans on social media is #BucksInSix. When they won the NBA Finals back in 2021, they did so with the mantra, “Bucks in Six.”
And it was Jennings, a former top-10 NBA pick, who coined the phrase during his playing days with Milwaukee.
It was also Jennings who the Bucks sent to the Detroit Pistons when they traded for Middleton back in 2013.
Now, over a decade later, Milwaukee’s former point guard believes that he was traded for one of the greatest players to ever play for the franchise.
While replaying to a fan saying that Middleton was washed up, Jennings stated:
I’m talking about him being the best SF ever in Bucks history
You just all over the place. Watchout!!!!!
Stick to what I’m saying!!!I know one thing 22 better be in rafters https://t.co/4Cex9kpKvv

When another fan clapped back saying Middleton has not changed his game or elevated the team ever in his 11 seasons, Jennings said, “They traded Khris for me and I felt I was an all time buck they wouldn’t trade for me. That trade got them a championship shut yo a– up!!!!”
It is safe to say that Jennings thinks the organization did the right thing when they traded him for Middleton, who has become the Bucks’ all-time leader in three-pointer made.
