The Milwaukee Bucks are 25-17 this season and are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. Khris Middleton was moved out of the starting lineup over the last couple of weeks for the Bucks and has been now coming off the bench.
Middleton after this season will have a player option for the 2025-2026 NBA season. If he declines the option, Khris Middleton would then become a free agent.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst Reports That the Milwaukee Bucks are Expected To Shop Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, and Other Players This NBA Trade Deadline Season
Dating back to the last offseason, some of the players on the Bucks roster were rumored to be traded. On Friday, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst wrote about the Bucks plans at the NBA trade deadline and said:
“The Bucks have been active this trade season, sources said, with Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton all expected to be available in potential moves to bring back an impact player.”
It would not be a surprise to see Middleton, Portis, and Connaughton all traded at the NBA trade deadline. It would be interesting to see which players they would trade for. A couple of names that were rumored in trade talks for the Milwaukee Bucks this season so far have been Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns and Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat.
If Milwaukee doesn’t land either play, it will be intriguing to see which players they would go trade for. A couple of other names to watch for are Brandon Ingram of the New Orleans Pelicans, Jerami Grant of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards.

Three winners. Champions.
The Bucks are the 2nd best team in the East after you take away the atrocious start. Keep this team together! #BucksInSix

I feel like trading Portis would be a mistake for them. He brings them a lot of juice off the bench when Giannis sits.

Once Jimmy Butler gets traded, this trade deadline has a chance to be a fun one. The Butler trade should open everything up.

If they go for Beal, they are beyond cooked 😶

There are a lot of Bucks fans who do not want general manager Jon Horst to trade for Bradley Beal. Trading for Beal would make the cap space situation even worse for Milwaukee. The Bucks do need to improve the roster, but they need to be smart about it.
Of course, they would want another star alongside Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, getting rid of Middleton, Portis, and Connaughton would be good for the Bucks, but they need to try and get players who fit this team and future draft assets to make it worthwhile.
