Damian Lillard will continue to be out for the Milwaukee Bucks and might not be available anytime soon as the Milwaukee Bucks revealed he is dealing with a more concerning ailment.

Dame was listed as out for their game against the Denver Nuggets, citing a calf strain. However, the latest statement from the Bucks says he is dealing with an injury that needs stricter medication.
His ailment is not just on the muscle but on the blood.
“Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in his right calf. In ensuring his health and beginning the process for a healthy return to play, Lillard is on blood-thinning medication, which has stabilized the DVT, and will continue with regular testing,” the team said in a statement.
Lillard, averaging 24.9 points per game this season, played just one game in their ongoing Western Conference road trip. He missed the game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Sacramento Kings, and last night’s loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Fulfilling his role at the moment are Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins although it is still obvious that his instant offense is sorely missed.
No timetable for Damian Lillard’s return yet
The team was not able to say when Lillard will return to join the team but he is mostly likely out indefinitely. There are only 11 games left in the regular season.
General manager Jon Horst, however, ensures that they are taking care of Lillard. He also said that that the player will under go strict process and that Lillard will still be able to play.
Damian’s health is our No. 1 priority,” he said in the statement.

“We will support him as he moves through this weekly process of strict criteria to ensure that it is safe for him to return to play. Doctors have indicated that his situation is very unlikely to occur again. We are thankful that this was identified and medicated quickly, which helps with the recovery.”
A deep vein thrombosis happens when there is a blood clot in a deep vein.
It is cured by taking blood-thinning medication and wearing compression stockings to improve blood flow and reduce swelling. The problem right now is how long Lillard will undergo this process.
Several experts say it will take months for someone to fully recover from DVT.
