Giannis Antetokounmpo hit a new scoring milestone during the Milwaukee Bucks’ 130-112 victory on Friday night at Fiserv Forum.
The Greek Freak recorded a game-high 35 points on 12-for-20 shooting from the field and 11-for-18 shooting from the free throw line. By doing so, Giannis Antetokounmpo passed Michael Jordan for seventh place all-time for games with at least 30 points on at least 60 percent shooting from the field with 139.
According to Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Antetokounmpo is 14 games away from surpassing Wilt Chamberlain (152) in sixth place. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is at the top of the list with 247 games.
Antetokounmpo also recorded 13 rebounds and three assists in the win. This was his 30th double-double of the 2024-25 NBA season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo raves about his one-two combo with Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard
Co-star Damian Lillard also put in a great shift for the Milwaukee Bucks, tallying 26 points, three rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and four three-pointers against the Toronto Raptors. The eight-time NBA All-Star has scored at least 25 points in five of his last seven appearances.
This type of performance makes Milwaukee a dangerous team, and Antetokounmpo hopes he and Lillard can sustain this throughout the rest of the season.
“Our combination and the way we play with one another and the way we lead our team is gonna get deadlier and deadlier and deadlier — which it has,” Antetokounmpo said via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I hope people see that. At the end of the day, we’re one of the highest-scoring duos in the league.”
