One of the many things that separates Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo from other NBA stars is that he does not seek out close relationships with his peers that play for other teams. Sure, there are players that he likes and is friendly with, but Giannis has repeatedly explained that he does not see a sense in working out with rival players in the offseason because, well, they are competitors.
Again, this is not to say that he is cold towards anyone that is not or has not played with him in Milwaukee. Rather, it is to say that he keeps his circle close.
That all being said, there are a few NBA players that he clearly does not like on any level, and one of them is San Antonio Spurs point guard Chris Paul.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Got Into a Heated Altercation with Chris Paul Earlier This Season

Giannis and the Bucks have been playing great basketball of late, having won four in a row and eight of their last ten. However, there was a stretch not long before the NBA All-Star Break that they were really struggling. At one point, they went through a four-game losing streak, which included a 144-118 loss on the road to the San Antonio Spurs.
During that game, Giannis was tripped on a play by Paul, which resulted in the two stars trading verbal barbs. At one point, the two-time NBA MVP challenged Paul to meet him after the game.
When the contest was over, Paul stood at a distance from Giannis, continuing to spout trash with the Greek Freak responding, “I’m right here,” challenging the Spurs guard to come closer and have it out.
Paul turned around and walked away.
Speaking to reporters afterwards, Giannis said, “People that know me, they don’t try me. If you try me, it’s a different side. Yeah. So if you try me, you’re going to get that different side of me.
“But yeah, okay, at the end of the day, like, we’re all men, I think we all respect each other. And if words cross the line, then there’s gotta be consequences. At the end of the day, like, I really, I don’t say that much. I don’t say much. I try to play the game the right way.
“Yeah, but enough is enough. Like if I feel like you’re putting my livelihood and my career and my body in jeopardy, in danger, enough’s enough, brother. I have a family to feed. And what makes you laugh can also make you cry sometimes.”
NBA Analyst Ridiculously Predicts the Milwaukee Bucks Will Add Chris Paul in the Offseason

Clearly, there is no love lost between Paul and Giannis, which makes Fadeaway World‘s suggestion that Milwaukee could sign him on a veteran minimum deal in 2025-26 rather ridiculous:
“CP3 can’t carry an offense anymore, but as a backup point guard or mentor for a young contender, he makes perfect sense.
“The Lakers, Clippers, or Bucks might consider a veteran minimum deal if Paul is willing to chase a ring. Anything beyond that feels like an overpay given his health concerns. A one-year deal with a contender is likely the play here, letting Paul make one last push for a title.”
Chemistry is important on any NBA team, and it is pretty clear that Giannis and Paul have bad blood. Additionally, it appears that Milwaukee has found a suitable backup point guard in Kevin Porter Jr., who has also expressed how much he loves playing for the Bucks.
