Milwaukee Bucks current season may be disastrous based on their own standard but the year has been more awful to Bobby Portis.

The Bucks big man has been suspended by the league for 25 games without pay for violating the NBA’s drug policy.
He and the team accepted the punishment and said they were not appealing it.
The suspension is the third reported major tragic event that happened to Portis this season.
In November last year, his home was robbed and he lost around $1.5 million in properties.
He then missed six games from January to February to deal with the loss of his grandmother who passed away.

Now, this suspension which he said he was an honest mistake. He said in a statement:
From the bottom of my heart, I want to apologize to the Bucks organization, my teammates, coaches, family, and fans. I give everything I have on the court and will terribly miss playing games for the Bucks during this time. I will continue to work hard and be ready for our long playoff run. Thank you for your support. I appreciate it more than you know.
Milwaukee Bucks coach Doc Rivers feels sorry for him
The team may have accepted the verdict but they still feel bad for Portis and everything he went through this season.
Rivers stands by his player and wholeheartedly believes that he is not in any way trying to cheat the game.
He also believes that all the things he is going through right now is only going to make him stronger.
“The one thing I did tell him is that this is gonna be one hell of a story for you,” Rivers told reporters before the tip-off of their game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

He also explained how big of a loss Portis is and what they are going to do to keep his spirit with the team.
“Bobby does not get to play, so that’s the tough part in this whole thing. And our job is to make sure – not only just us players and coaches, we got to make sure Bobby is still with us – but even in the community,” he said.
“He’s so big here. When you see him out there, make sure he knows that you’re with him, because he needs it all right now.
