Devin Booker pierced a dagger through the hearts of Milwaukee Bucks fans to send his team to a fourth straight victory. The Bucks had a chance to force an overtime but Brook Lopez’s shot was off the mark.

Bucks lost, 106-108, and are now four games behind the Indiana Pacers for the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference standings. They are also just half a game above the Detroit Pistons who are in the sixth spot.
Doc Rivers’ team lost a game that was almost in their hands as they were on the lead with 1:22 to and the Suns could not buy a bucket.
Rivers, however, is not blaming the defense on Booker or the execution of the last play. He thinks there’s one play in the sixth minute mark that the referees officiated poorly and that is part of the reason of the loss they suffered.
“The biggest play of the game was; that was a three-point play. That was a three-point play,” Rivers said after the game.
“And how that wasn’t is beyond my imagination. That’s a six-point swing.”

The play in question involves Brook Lopez at the 5:56 mark with the Suns leading, 95-92.
He drove to the basket and referee blew his whistle to call one of the defenders for the foul. However, he did not give a continuation.
Milwaukee Bucks put in tight spot due to wrong calls
Rivers suggested that the wrong call has a greater implication on their end-game plans.
“I had to burn two timeouts on calls that you should have made and now I’m left with one timeout for the game,” he said.

“Like I think there should be a rule, if I get two right, I should get a timeout and an extra challenge. But clearly the ball went off of them both times and I had to use a challenge for both of them. And unfortunately, those are the times with the time that the timeouts were charged to me, so I burned two timeouts being right and I don’t think that was what the rules were made (for). But we gotta figure that one out.”
The Bucks are currently 2-2 in this road trip in the West and the will wrap it up in visit to the Denver Nuggets.
