The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Toronto Raptors 99-85 on Tuesday night. It was the first game of the NBA in-season tournament. With that win on Tuesday, the Bucks will have to turn the page as they will face the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. CT at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Detroit won on Tuesday night against the Miami Heat 122-121 in overtime.
Projected Starting Lineups For the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons Matchup
This season, the Pistons are 5-7 and are showing improvements under new head coach J.B. Bickerstaff after they fired Monty Williams after last season. The projected starting lineup for the Detroit Pistons will be Jalen Duran, Tobias Harris, Simone Fontecchio, Jaden Ivey, and Cade Cunningham. This team is not the same laughingstock as they have been over the past few seasons.
The Milwaukee Bucks are 3-8 this season and are looking to win once again. Three players are listed as game-time decisions for the Bucks and they are Ryan Rollins, Damian Lillard, and Khris Middleton. However, it appears as if Lillard and Middleton may miss the matchup once again on Wednesday night against Detroit.
The projected starting lineup for the Bucks on Wednesday night could be Brook Lopez, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tauren Prince, Andre Jackson Jr., and Ryan Rollins. Interestingly, A.J. Green is not projected to be a starter on Wednesday night for Milwaukee.
Need To String Wins Together
Luckily, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to avoid being in the basement in the Eastern Conference after beating the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night. Head coach Doc Rivers will need to try and string some wins together to try and get back to a .500 record.
Another big story about this matchup between the Detroit Pistons and the Milwaukee Bucks is that Bucks general manager Jon Horst was interested in taking a job in the Pistons front office this offseason. Horst is in the final year of his contract and it will be interesting to see what happens. Milwaukee fans will not be thrilled if they were to lose to Detroit on Wednesday night.
