Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks got the job done in the quarterfinal round of the 2024 NBA Cup, as they defeated the Orlando Magic at home on Tuesday night to the tune of a 114-109 score.
Lillard played a huge part in the Bucks win, with the 34-year-old point guard coming away with a total of 28 points on 8-for-15 shooting from the field. He scored 15 of his points in the fourth quarter while also finishing the contest with nine assists in 39 minutes of action.
The Bucks are on a mission to win the NBA Cup, which was reiterated by the eight-time NBA All-Star.
“I think all of us are thinking, going back and finishing what we started last year and doing it right this time,” Lillard said in a postgame interview (h/t FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin).

Apart from Lillard, the Bucks also got tremendous production in the Orlando game from superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who led Milwaukee with 37 points on 15-for-24 shooting from the field to go with seven rebounds, two steals and a block in 36 minutes of floor duty.
Milwaukee is on a two-game win streak and has won eight of their last 10 outings. The Bucks advance to the semis round of the NBA Cup, where they will take on the winner of the other quarterfinal meeting between the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks this Wednesday.
