The Cleveland Cavaliers will miss Isaac Okoro due to a shoulder injury, but they might see the return of Max Strus in tomorrow’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Max Strus hasn’t played in the 2024-25 regular season after suffering a severe ankle sprain last October during an individual workout. The Cleveland Cavaliers gave him the questionable tag against the Milwaukee Bucks. If Strus has it his way, he will play against the reigning NBA Cup champions.
“Nine weeks is a very long time. It’s been hard. There’s been definitely dark days. But this is the best team. Best vibes ever been around,” Strus said via Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
“These guys have made it easy and kept me involved and kept me around and made sure to reach out at times when I needed it. I’m itching to get back,” he added.
In his first full season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Strus averaged 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game on 41.8 percent shooting from the field and 35.1 percent from the three-point line.
Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kenny Atkinson on Max Strus’ status ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks match
Kenny Atkinson is excited to have Max Strus back in the lineup. However, the Cleveland Cavaliers head coach said that the veteran sharpshooter is considered a game-time decision for the Milwaukee Bucks game.
“I’m really excited,” Atkinson said about having Strus back. “How does he feel tomorrow? When does he feel comfortable? When does the medical team feel comfortable with it? We’re awfully close.”
“Feedback was really good today. Now what does it look like when he wakes up? That’s really going to be the trigger on what happens. He looked phenomenal the past two days,” he added.
