It has been an eventful summer for Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez. The former All-Star spent some of the new money he earned from his big-money extension with the Bucks this summer in a lavish summer wedding with now-ex-fiancee Hailee Nicole Strickland.
Congratulations are in order to the newly-wed couple now that they have confirmed that they are expecting a baby boy.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Brook Lopez Expecting First Child
It was Hailee who made the announcement on Instagram with a series of posts. Her first one was a photo of their dog with the caption, “our first baby.” Mrs. Lopez then followed that up with a photo from their wedding wherein the couple was surrounded with blue confetti. Her caption was “our something blue,” accompanied by a baby emoji, which is an indication of the fact that they’re expecting a baby boy.
Finally, in Hailee’s third and final photo in the series, she posted a picture of herself and Brook with the caption, “mom & dad,” which erases any and all doubt surrounding her previous cryptic posts.
Lopez himself confirmed the news in a recent interview, and the 35-year-old admitted that he is very much looking forward to this major life step:
“I’m excited,” Lopez told the Journal Sentinel at Bucks Media Day, via Hannah Kirby of Newsbreak. “Definitely going to be asking some of my teammates for tips.”

One of the first people to react to Hailee’s posts was the girlfriend of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Mariah Riddlesprigger, who herself recently welcomed her third child with the Bucks talisman.
Mariah commented in one of the posts that she “can’t wait to raise our babies together!” to which Hailee responded by saying that this is “a dream come true!!!”
