The Milwaukee Bucks became champions in the second-ever NBA Cup after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 97-81 on Tuesday, and every player got richer because of it. Standard contract players received at least $500,000 each, while the two-way players get half of it.
Starting center Brook Lopez was one of those players who got at least $500,000. The one-time NBA All-Star said during the postgame interview he revels in the fact that he leaves Las Vegas with more money than when he came into it.
“That’s not too bad either,” Lopez said via ClutchPoints’ Tomer Azarly. “It’s rare people leave Vegas with an extra $500,000, so we’ll definitely enjoy that.”
“It’s an amazing feeling right now. I was telling the young guys it’s like a small small small tease and taste of what it’s going to be like in June, so hopefully they take all this in. We’re going to have a lot of fun tonight and see the work it takes. I think we’re all committed to showing up each and every day to make that goal in June a reality,” he added.

Brook Lopez averages 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.1 blocks on 47.5 percent shooting from the field in 25 starts this season. He will be crucial in the team’s upcoming game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
