The Milwaukee Brewers finished the 2024 MLB season with a 93-69 record and lost to the New York Mets in the NL Wild Card Round. This is the second straight season that the Brewers did not get to the NLDS and many wonder if there will be changes to the roster for the 2025 MLB season.
One player who could very well not be back next season for the Brewers is shortstop Willy Adames. Adames is going to be getting offers on the market. Teams like the San Francisco Giants, the Atlanta Braves, and the Los Angeles Dodgers could sign him for more than what the Milwaukee Brewers offer. Also, the New York Mets are showing some interest in him as well.

MLB Analyst Thinks That the Milwaukee Brewers Should Trade For Toronto Blue Jays Bo Bichette To Replace Willy Adames In 2025
The Brewers will not be able to stand pat if they lose Adames in MLB free agency. General manager Matt Arnold is going to have to make a trade or two to replace his production. MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy believes that the Brewers should go after Bichette on the trade market. He said:
“On the trade market, the retooling Cardinals have a fascinating option in all-world defender Nolan Arenado, but would they deal within the division? Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette and (New York Mets) third baseman Brett Baty have also appeared in trade rumors. The Brewers could make any of those players fit.”
It will be interesting to see if there will be many teams who will want to acquire the Toronto Blue Jays superstar this offseason. Bo Bichette is only 26 years old. Last season, he had a .225 batting average with four home runs and 31 RBIs, along with a .277 on-base percentage and five stolen bases. The Blue Jays could very well start over.

Willy Adames Stats
Last season with the Brewers, he had a .251 batting average with 32 home runs and 112 RBIs, along with 21 stolen bases and four caught stolen bases. His on-base percentage is .331. Bo Bichette to Milwaukee would not be a bad move to replace Adames. He would have one year remaining on his contract, but would the Brewers want to only use him for one season?
This is something that remains to be seen. There will be many Willy Adames replacements thrown around until the Brewers make some moves.
