The Milwaukee Brewers had three former players on the 2025 Hall of Fame ballot. Of this group, LHP CC Sabathia was elected, RHP Francisco Rodriguez gathered enough votes to be eligible for a fourth year, and OF Curtis Granderson received less than 5% of votes and was removed from future ballots.
Looking ahead to 2026, one controversial Brewers star is among the notable first time eligible Hall of Fame candidates.
Controversial Milwaukee Brewers star Ryan Braun will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2026
Ryan Braun, a former MVP, rookie of the year, six time All-Star, and five time silver slugger will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2026. From 2007-2012 he was one of the best hitters in the league. The middle portion of his career was plagued to ties with PEDs, but he managed to remain productive and deliver in key situations, despite battling injuries later on in his career.

What are the requirements to be eligible for the Hall of Fame
Players are eligible for the Hall of Fame if they spent at least 10 years in the major leagues and have been retired for five years. While there is no formal disqualification for players linked to PEDs, it greatly diminishes their chances of being elected, as most voters are reluctant to induct those involved in such controversies. Barry Bonds, the all-time home run king, is a prime example of this.
Ryan Braun’s case for the Hall of Fame
The odds of Ryan Braun being elected to the Hall of Fame are slim to none. His connection to PEDs will likely keep him out of Cooperstown. Even without the PED issue, his career statistics place him on the fringe, but probably not enough to secure enough votes.
