The Milwaukee Brewers have a star in the making in rookie pitcher Jacob Misiorowski, who continues his rise in the big leagues.
Misiorowski turned even more heads on Tuesday evening, when he took care of business against the reigning World Series champions, Los Angeles Dodgers, as he overcame an early home run he gave up to Shohei Ohtani in the first inning on his way to a memorable performance in a 3-1 victory.
The 23-year-old right-hander tamed the Dodgers for six innings, giving up only an earned run on four hits while racking up a total of 12 punchouts through 91 pitches.
His performance has earned him not just more attention from baseball fans but even acknowledgement from one of the best ever to do it on the mound.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), three-time Cy Young winner and Baseball Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez shared his glowing take on Misiorowski.
“Jacob Misiorowski is special,” Martinez wrote. “He’s got velocity, movement, and that bulldog mentality. Him, Paul Skenes, and Tarik Skubal look like the future of pitching to me. Long legs, long arms—built to dominate.”
It was also a fantastic way for Misiorowski to bounce back from a forgettable start in a 7-3 loss to the New York Mets last week, where he surrendered five earned runs on five hits through 3.2 innings of work.
The Milwaukee Brewers are on the verge of completing a statement sweep of the Dodgers

With their win over the Dodgers, the Brewers are now just a win this Wednesday away from sweeping Ohtani and company. Milwaukee will give the ball to Jose Quintana in the series finale, with LA scheduled to send Tyler Glasnow to the mound.
The Brewers, who are now 52-40, will close out their schedule in the first half of the 2025 MLB regular season with a three-game set versus the Washington Nationals.
