Pat Murphy Milwaukee Brewers went back to winning ways after taking the fifth and last game of their series with the Chicago Cubs.

The team have become the first team to win 80 games and are still at the top of the MLB standings. They also increased their lead to division rivals Cubs to seven games.
The ship has been right and the mood is great again. It was never destroyed in the first place but there was one moment before Tuesday’s game that one can say raised tensions not on the field but on the press room.
Murphy snapped at one reporter for a suggestive question. The unnamed media member asked if there’s still a mood of positivity within the team following a third straight loss against their rivals cubs.
Murphy did not hold back with his answer as he did not find the question reasonable.
“No s–t,” the manager said straight up on Wednesday after the loss.

“Why wouldn’t you? Are you trying to be negative? I think that’s kind of a dumb question. There’s a great sense. The guys are in great spirits. They’re in line to break a franchise record for wins. Why wouldn’t they be in a great frame of mind? You think that they’re not professional players, you think that would make them think they’re not a good team?”
Even Christian Yelich dismissed the notion that they are panicking and they are ready for more adversities in the next 34 games.
Pat Murphy and reporter patched things up
Cooler heads have taken over on Thursday before the Brewers’ game against the Cubs and Murphy took it upon himself to mend things with the reporter in question.
He said the guy triggered something on him but it could also because he was being a ‘baby’.

“I was tough on you, man. I am sorry, you just kind of struck a cord with something. It’s really not what you said. It’s what I was feeling at the time. And you said something that just triggered it. I was emotional, it a kind of tick. I was being a baby myself, so I apologize.”
The reporter accepted the apology.
Brewers now moves on to a new series which will be against the San Francisco Giants at their own turn in the American Family Field.
