In December the Milwaukee Brewers traded with the Cleveland Guardians to bring Wisconsin Native Owen Miller back home. He’s been serving in a utility role this season and has been doing an exceptional job at getting on-base. On Friday night he hit his first home run as a Brewer while also extending his career best on-base streak.

Milwaukee Brewers utility player Owen Miller hits his first home run of the season and extends his career best on-base streak.
For Owen Miller he now has reached base safely in 14 consecutive games. This is the longest streak of his career in which during this stretch he is also riding a five game hitting streak. During Friday’s game he finished a triple away from hitting for the cycle.
This season Owen Miller has been playing quite a bit against left-handed pitchers. He has excelled in these match ups, but his hot bat may force Craig Counsell to continue playing him. The versatile defender has experience at second base, third base, center field, and in the corner outfield spots. This increases his value and chance of finding more playing time.
So far it’s been a good homecoming for the Mequon Native and he is positively impacting the Milwaukee Brewers.
