Not everyone was sold about the Milwaukee Brewers giving up assets for then unknown Quinn Priester. One would wonder how these people feel now that the 24-year-old pitcher has been sensational since acquiring him in April, including torching the team he grew up admiring.

Priester, who hails from Glendale Heights, Illinois, was among those who stood out on Tuesday for the Brewers in the second night of their three-game series with the Chicago Cubs.
He earned two runs on eight hits and then walked two opponents in 5.2 innings to help the team snatch the victory over their NL Central rivals. The night saw a grand slam as part of a three-hit, six-RBI performance from their players.
General manager Matt Arnold was the adamant about the acquisition of Priester. And now, he feels proud for standing on business.
“I’ve made it clear that we’re trying to get better everywhere,” Arnold said on Tuesday.
He firmly defended Priester back in April saying he was not just an emergency pitcher that they acquired when they were struggling.

“The injuries weren’t the only factor in this acquisition,” he said as quoted by MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy.
“We really think this move helps us now and in the future. Our scouts have liked Priester going back to high school.”
Quinn Priester on time with Milwaukee Brewers
This is not the first time that Priester faced the Cubs who he admitted was the team he cheered for growing up.
Facing them has not that been hard for him. He is also did not have a hard time getting acclimated to the Brewers system because, as he said, of his teammates.
“When you have a team like this who believes in each other, it’s intoxicating,” he said.

“You can’t help but believe in yourself when you’re in the arena. There’s something about that, that you feel. It feels good to come through for the team.”
Priester is now with 10-2 as Brewers pitcher and 9-0 over his last 11 appearances.
