The Milwaukee Brewers community recently lost icon Bob Uecker as he passed away at 90 years old. Shortly afterwards, another cherished figure also passed away.
Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio lost his mother at 96 years old
Connie Attanasio, the mother of Brewers’ owner Mark Attanasio, passed away at 96 years old. The organization released a statement saying, “Last Wednesday morning, we said goodbye to Connie Attanasio, who passed away peacefully at the age of 96. Connie was the backbone of the Attanasio family, and there was no greater fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Connie attended almost every Brewers home opener in person, proudly joining her husband, Joe, as he began every home season until his passing in 2015 by singing the national anthem. She often joined her family at other Brewers games but when unable to attend, Connie watched every pitch of every game from the comfort of her kitchen table. She brought light, enthusiasm and humor to all who knew her, and she was loved by so many in our organization. Our thoughts are with the entire Attanasio family as we join them in mourning their loss.”
Remembering Connie Attanasio
Included in the Brewers statement of Connie Attanasio’s passing, was information for those looking to help in which they can make donations in her memory. They are asking that donations be made to the Innovation in Geriatric Medicine program at UCLA Health to support the work of Dr. Brandon Koretz.
