The Milwaukee Brewers not only have the best record in all Major League Baseball (61-41), but they also have one of the league’s best farm systems. Their six prospects in MLB’s Top-100 prospect list is tied for the second most in baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies, with only the Seattle Mariners having more (eight).
The Brewers’ top six prospects currently consist of (in order of rank) Jesus Made (8), Jacob Misiorowski (19), Luis Pena (34), Cooper Pratt (39), Jeferson Quero (67), and Logan Henderson (82).
Misiorowski, of course, is currently on Milwaukee’s Major League roster and has taken the league by storm with his blazing fastball. Henderson appeared in the Majors earlier this year, too, becoming the first pitcher in franchise history to win each of his first three starts.
Made and Pena are still in Low-A, and Pratt is playing Double-A ball in Biloxi. Only Quero is in Triple-A this year, a step away from the Majors.
Milwaukee Brewers Prospect Jeferson Quero Has Hurt His Shoulder (Again)

In 2023, Quero established himself as one of the top prospects in all of baseball by winning the minor league Gold Glove Award at catcher. He also hit a respectable .262/.339/.440 with 16 home runs and 49 RBI for Milwaukee’s Double-A affiliate that season.
Quero played so well in 2023 that he was sent to Triple-A to play in 2024. However, in the first game of the season, he injured his shoulder sliding back into first base on a pickoff attempt. The injury required surgery and he missed the rest of sesaon.
The Brewers’ top-five prospect also missed the beginning of this season as he continued to rehab his shoulder. And after a rehab stint with the Arizona Complex League, he re-joined Triple-A, where he is hitting .259/.333/.362 with two home runs and 18 RBI in 30 games.
Unfortunately, it appears that Quero has re-injured his shoulder, as he was removed from Nashville’s game on Wednesday night:
For the eagle-eyed fans who noticed Brewers prospect Jeferson Quero exit tonight’s Sounds game: Appears unrelated to the Trade Deadline. He felt something with his left arm when reaching for swipe tag and was removed between innings. He will get checked out on Thursday.

As of this writing on Thursday afternoon, there is no news of whatever test results there could be in regard to Quero’s shoulder. Hopefully it is nothing serious and he will be able to return to the field soon.
As an aside, the same surgeon who repaired Quero’s should was the same one who repaired Garrett Mitchell’s labrum a couple of years ago.
Mitchell is out for the rest of this season after re-injuring the same shoulder.
