The Milwaukee Brewers have already clinched their series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on the back of a 3-1 victory at American Family Field on Tuesday night. This victory followed their 9-1 drubbing of Los Angeles on Monday, a game that saw Milwaukee ace Freddy Peralta outduel his fellow 2025 National League All-Star Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Peralta pitched six scoreless innings and struck out six while Yamamoto did not make it out of the first inning, surrendering five runs (three earned) to the Brewers in the bottom of the opening frame.
But as good as Peralta is (and has been) for Milwaukee all season long, the pitcher that everyone, even fans from around the country, is tuning in to see is rookie phenom Jacob Misiorowski.
And he put on an absolute show on Tuesday.
Milwaukee Brewers Pitcher Jacob Misiorowski Outdueled Clayton Kershaw

Misiorowski’s only blemish on the day was the leadoff solo home run he gave up to Shohei Ohtani, a booming shot to straight-away centerfield that was hit on an 0-2 count.
The Miz would not make that mistake again in this game.
What followed was one of the most dominant pitching performances in Brewers history. Misiorowski ended up pitching six innings, allowing the one run on four hits, walking one, and striking out 12.
In the third inning, he became just the fourth pitcher in franchise history to have eight strikeouts through three frames. The first three were Yovanni Gallardo, Brandon Woodruff, and Corbin Burnes.
His 12 strikeouts through five innings were the second-most in Major League history in the pitch tracking era (which began in 2008).
Milwaukee’s offense, meanwhile, cracked Clayton Kershaw, who recently became the 20th player ever with 3,000 career strikeouts, in the fourth inning with RBI singles from Andrew Vaughn and Isaac Collins.
Sal Frelick added a solo home run in the eighth inning of the Dodgers bullpen to give the Brewers a 3-1 lead.
Milwaukee Brewers Fans React to Jacob Misiorowski’s Historic Performance

As one might have expected, Brewers fans were overjoyed with Misiorowski’s performance, especially after his rough outing last week:

Misiorowski has 12 k’s in the 5th. I honestly have never seen a Brewers pitcher like this in my life. This is insane.

Misiorowski, of course, earned the win and is now 4-1 on the year to go with an impressive 2.81 ERA. He is just the second pitcher in baseball history to have at least 33 strikeouts and allow less than 12 hits in his first five Major League starts.
The first to do was Freddy Peralta.
