In the course of their 56-year history, the Milwaukee Brewers have had three players win league Rookie of the Year Awards. Pat Listach was the first, winning the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 1992 after hitting .290/.352/.349 with a home run, 47 RBI, and 54 stolen bases.
15 years later, Ryan Braun won the National League Rookie of the Year Award after hitting .324/.370/.634 with 34 home runs and 97 RBI in just 113 games following his May call-up that season.
And 13 years after that, Devin Williams took home the honor in the COVID-shortened 2020 season, going 4-1 with a 0.33 ERA in 22 games for Milwaukee as the setup man for All-Star closer Josh Hader.
But it does not appear that Brewers fans will have to wait much longer to see another one of their players take home a Rookie of the Year Award.
Milwaukee Brewers Pitchers Jacob Misiorowski and Chad Patrick Both Finished in the Top-5 of Latest NL Rookie of the Year Poll

Now that the 2025 MLB All-Star Game is over, MLB.com writers conducted a poll on who should win the Rookie of the Year Award in each league. Brewers phenom Jacob Misiorowski, who made the All-Star team despite having made just five starts in his young career, was the leading vote-getter:
“Based on his first career start, Misiorowski got one first-place vote a month ago. Now at five, and coming off an All-Star selection, he’s shot all the way to the top. It’s early, yes, but after seeing what Paul Skenes did last year, our voters were probably even more inclined to quickly buy into what Misiorowski is doing.
“If you subtract his one clunker — a five-run, 3 2/3 IP outing against the Mets on July 2 — he’s otherwise gone 4-0 with a 1.23 ERA and 0.68 WHIP and struck out 31 of the 79 batters he’s faced (39.2%), and tiny as that sample size is, an arm this electric is impossible to ignore.”
Additionally, Chad Patrick, who was optioned to Triple-A when Brandon Woodruff returned from an injury that kept him out for two years, finished fifth:
“Patrick’s keeping a low profile and probably will continue to now that Misiorowski is on the scene. There’s much less flash to Patrick, but he’s getting the job done — he came into the break with a 3.52 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 95 strikeouts in 94 2/3 innings, a bit of a walk problem but nothing he hasn’t managed.”
It is interesting that the writers did not mention that Patrick is no longer with the Major League club. The longer that he is in Triple-A, the more likely it is that he will not get many votes for Rookie of the Year.
That being said, what Misiorowski has done in his first five starts has been nothing short of impressive. If he continues to dominate hitters the way that he has (aside from his aforementioned clunker), he could run away with the award.
