The Milwaukee Brewers are currently firing on all cylinders. On July 29, they won their second consecutive game against the Chicago Cubs, and subsequently claimed a two game lead in the division. During that contest, Brewers fans were left holding their breath as they saw Jackson Chourio get removed with an apparent injury.
Milwaukee Brewers Jackson Chourio was removed from the game after a triple

In the middle of the game, Chourio hit a triple to center field. Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong could not track it down and the ball bounced away from him after hitting the wall. This allowed Chourio to reach third base, but he had to find another gear upon rounding second base and heading to third.
During this home to third base run, Chourio slowed up towards the end and the training staff took notice. He was removed from the game and did not return. Milwaukee later announced that he was removed due to a spasm in his hamstring.

Jackson Chourio is coming off of a 20-game hitting streak

During the Brewers and Cubs first game of the series, Chourio saw his 20-game hitting streak come to an end. A streak that long has only been accomplished seven times throughout the history of the franchise, and by six players. He started up a new streak with a pair of hits before being removed due to injury.
Fortunately for the Brewers, Chourio’s early exit doesn’t appear to be anything serious. With the team surging and gaining ground in the division, avoiding a major injury to one of their brightest young stars is a big relief. As Milwaukee continues to roll, keeping Chourio healthy will be key to maintaining their momentum down the stretch.
